Grotesque and ancient, the Cyclursus is an amalgam of beast and relic, fused by necromantic design. It lumbers forward on four powerful limbs, its body crowned by a single horned cyclopean skull. This unholy visage is enough to break the resolve of weaker foes, but the danger does not end at close quarters. Its horn pulses with volatile necromantic force, unleashing blasts that strike with the fury that rivals that of its bone-shattering charge.
Brutal, relentless, and almost uncontrollable, the Cyclursus was designed to serve as a shock trooper for its necromantic masters. Ancient records claim they once guarded the tombs of extinct races, goring intruders with their horns and hunting them down with frightening persistence. Necromancers of later ages not only robbed those tombs and raised their inhabitants but also stole the secrets of creating the Cyclursus. Over the ages, the parts necessary to raise such a beast have become sparse and highly prized. To this day, when one rises from a crypt, it feels less like the reanimation of a corpse than the resurgence of a buried calamity.
