The Crypt Construct is a horrific parody of once regal strength, its massive humanoid frame crowned with the undersized skull of a horned, cattle-like race that has long since vanished from the world. The grotesque mismatch of body and head makes it all the more horrifying, an image of brute force twisted into mockery by some necromantic mind. Sickly green energy leaks from its joints, trailing like fumes of decay as it lumbers forward, hungering for any living thing to devour.
Lacking all higher thought, the Construct is the embodiment of tireless servitude, unthinking, unyielding, and bound to obey. Bonelords once employed them as laborers and guardians, unthinking, unyielding, and unwilling to stop until ordered by their dark masters. In battle, this same mindless determination becomes lethal and makes them valuable assets to any necromancer's arsenal. A Crypt Construct will pursue its chosen victim until bones crack or its own frame collapses, showing no awareness of fear, pain, or even self-preservation. Even among the Bonelords, the rite to raise such a creature is rare, hoarded like a secret too dangerous to share.
